Auditory Memory for Short Stories Fun Deck

#SD05 Auditory Memory for Short Stories Fun Deck

Listen to short, silly stories like "Aunt Pat's Hat," "Hannah's Bananas," or "Ollie the Octopus"—and then answer questions about each story. One side shows the picture and story title, and the other side has the story and three questions for children to answer. These 51 illustrated cards provide a novel approach to improving your students' auditory memory skills. As a special bonus, the deck has game ideas and five open-ended "Wh" topic picture cards to help children make up their own stories and questions. Cards measure 2½" x 3½" and are stored in a sturdy tin.

Review:  "I just got this deck and used it for therapy with a small group. One of the students diagnosed with Autism who I struggle with getting him to participate and respond, answered all 3 WH questions from the story after I read them to him twice and did give him phonemic cues for the answers. It was a great accomplishment! He participated, and showed me that he comprehends more than we think! I am happy and want to continue using this cards with him, to the point where hopefully he will answer the questions by looking at the picture on the card only, and fade out the phonemic cues!! thanks!"
